The Saving Grace Of Hope

TODAY'S QUOTE:
"Man can live for about forty days without food, and about three days without water, about eight minutes without air ... but only for one second without hope.".... Hal Lindsey

Losing hope truly is fatal. You may still inhale and exhale afterward, but really living is not possible without hope to get you through the rough times. I vividly recall how very close I came to the point of total hopelessness before a brief series of notions instantly reawakened me from my zombie like condition.

Jump-starting at 40 was brutal, yet beautiful. And that journey is far from over. I continue growing because of almost dying on that long ago day. It was the best birthday present I have ever gotten. I cannot imagine receiving any that would equal it in value. Priceless is truly a hard act to follow.

Gift yourself with a new perspective. Present yourself with a better tomorrow, by realizing that settling for the status quo is not wise if it is less than you deserve. Settling is for dust. Look at where you are then simply say... more years of this... then the nursing home... then the cemetery and see if your satisfaction stays centered upon what is your reality at the moment.

Mine did not. My birthday in 1993 held those images and my soul screamed for more. I have fed it a banquet every single day since then and it does not bellow with hunger nowadays. Eat to your contentment but fill the plate yourself, it is the only way to get all the nourishment you require. And as always.... think about it.... let it ride.... then YOU decide!!!!
