A Thin Dangerous Stream

TODAY'S QUOTE:
"Anxiety is a thin stream of fear trickling through the mind. If encouraged, it cuts a channel into which all other thoughts are drained.".... Arthur Somers Roche

A healthy attitude is vital to peace of mind and silence of the soul. Positive fuels positive, while negatives feed their own, and the choice is always ours to make. Letting worry rule the roost is such a dangerous option. Chicken Little simply cannot be relied upon to do anything except run in circles and predict gloom and doom.

We often reinforce our doubts, yet too seldom encourage our hopes and dreams. The purity of what is soul based deserves all the assistance we can muster. Panic and depression should never be given any ground to build upon, given even an inch they build skyscrapers that overshadow everything for miles around.

It would be unnatural to expect that worry could not find admittance just because we bar the door. Doubts are like wisps of smoke that travel through any crack in our armor. If we leave that puff of smoke alone it will create a spark and in no time at all a blazing inferno will erupt. It is much wiser to blow that wisp of doubt away with a gust of hope than to simply wait and become consumed by the flames.

Channel your thoughts. Produce a river that flows in the direction you wish to travel. Build a reservoir of confidence. Sail upon gentle waters under your control, instead of simply drifting aimlessly upon a stormy sea of doubts and fears. And as always.... think about it.... let it ride.... then YOU decide!!!!
