TODAY'S QUOTE:
"All significant battles are fought within the self".... Sheldon Kopp
Every war with a higher purpose occurs internally, often with several different parts of self dueling for complete and final control. I choose sides very carefully, knowing the one with concern for every single facet of self to be the most valiant warrior and the one who will rule most wisely. If combat is necessary the spoils should belong to the one that will reinvest for the true freedom of the entire kingdom.
Letting the child within dominate only dooms you to constant tantrums and endless placation to keep them quietly tranquillized. Allowing the solemn elder control inspires rigid unbending judgments which allow for little or no empathy toward any other facet of the inner population. Some people see-saw back and forth between the child and the elder, which inspires unbalanced behavior and internal confusion that can be avoided by denying the crown to either.
Granting the physical veto power will bring only momentary satisfaction followed by constant longings. Crowning the emotions king leaves you mostly defenseless. An army of knights without armor against the most deeply penetrating wounds cannot safely defend any realm from outside invaders. Mental dominance is too often pragmatic in its decrees, and hard-headed in its enforcements. And ego is a mighty tyrant that imprisons any who balk at its heavy-handed lordship.
The soul is the only portion of self that ever considers all sides before deciding what is best for the whole of self. It is the quiet ceaseless voice of reason that all other combatants try to silence. While all other ambassadors grow hoarse and frantic from endlessly screeching demands it remains balanced and calm. Listening sooner than later is a wise battle tactic that gains the most territory with the least amount of damage done to the surrounding landscape. Take a close look at who you place in charge. And as always.... think about it.... let it ride.... then decide!!!!
