TODAY'S QUOTE:
"People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing—that's why we recommend it daily.".... Zig Ziglar
What a wonderful way of saying shit or get off the damn pot. Motivation is a self-help tool. Sometimes we have to manufacture it for ourselves out of whatever scraps we can dig up. That makes it equal in strength to its ingredients, but a weak tool is much better than no tool at all. A tin shovel will not move the same amount of debris from your path as an iron one will, but hell it beats no shovel at all.
Some days it only takes a gentle nudge to get the ball rolling. Some days it requires a mighty tug to achieve any forward motion. And on some dark days it takes dynamite to rescue yourself from the grip of the do nothing demon. The choice is always up to you whether or not to make any kind of effort at all. Life may toss you a pile of bull-shit, but there is no law saying you have to lay under it and absorb the stink.
You may grow weary of me saying this, but sometimes it is as simple as act till it is fact. Any exercise begins with weak muscles that grow strong with use. The principle is exactly the same with mental calisthenics. The only difference is that the exhaustion is centered in a different location. With time and determination any discomfort eases until it becomes second nature to simply do as you must to achieve the goal of moving on.
Try to make each day productive somehow, even if what is achieved is a small step it is so much better than growing roots where you were yesterday. Ruts are built by life, but peopled by choice. Opt for a path that leads somewhere you wish to go, not one simply designed by whatever situations you are dealt as you stumble along. And as always.... think about it.... let it ride.... then decide!!!!
