Fair Play Of The Winning Cards

TODAY'S QUOTE:
One should always play fairly when one has the winning cards....Oscar Wilde, 1854-1900, Irish Dramatist/Novelist/Poet

I think fair play in any situation is always the best alternative. Winning by unjust means is not really a victory in my estimation. Dishonesty earns only heartache to others and self-destruction to yourself in the long term.

What is gotten by ill means instantly makes a slave of you, constantly watching your back and feeling uneasy is an awfully high price to pay. Better to play fair in all things then what you get is truly yours to keep, and proudly so; holding your head up is a victory in itself.

The world is full of people who constantly look for the easy marks among us, I know this to be true by painful experience. What they gain is a noose around their soul, which seems a foolish thing to bring upon yourself. Anything that has ever been taken from me has always earned me whatever amount of inner-strength I needed to get past the pain, which seems a positive dividend to any negative interaction. Who would you classify as the real winner?

Some winners are really losers in disguise. Their mask is in place, sometimes with such perfection that they do not even recognize their real image. Some battles won are wars lost. I would rather lose a battle than the whole war, and when it is a soul you are fighting for a bit of reality faced may be brutal, but so much better than the alternative.

Fair play just makes good common sense. Gain by any other means is not gain at all. The loss of empathy for our fellow man makes for dangerous attitudes and actions. I am into making the world a gentler place, at the very least that begins with playing my cards fairly without any double dealing tactics.

I was browsing and found this link, please concider visiting and listening to some of her very wise and humorous words. I myself am absorbing all I can from this place I stumbled upon. http://www.kathleenpassanisi.com Hit on check out Kathy on vidio and simply go down the list, sit back and listen.
