I enjoy being happy, but if there is nothing much to be overly elated about, I never waste any time or energy fretting. Instead, I let the fact that I am not unhappy be reason enough to smile wide and laugh out loud. The absence of heartache seems a real occasion for celebration to a soul that has known more than its fair share of grief. Why moan over incidentals???

Each day holds the same possibilities to experience life's joys, which come in countless different shapes and sizes... each equally valuable... no matter their dimensions. Joy's delight cannot be held to such measures as we equate with ordinary things. In this way it is similar to love, which if really felt is beyond any normal man-made calculations.

The contrast between sorrow and joy is how some people try to validate and qualify, but to me that is simply a useless distraction. When I love someone hate is never used as a way of figuring out how much. And who in the world ever decided it was wise to spend any time at such endeavors?

So things were better last year? Oh well, let's build a shrine to what was... then what could be has absolutely no chance of occurring and what is gets poisoned in the process. Stop appraising yourself as if you were a building that has seen better days! Do not allow who you once were to steal who you could become. Just be the best you can be at any given moment and allow your real joy to come from knowing you always give it your very best shot. And as always... think about it... let it grow... then decide!!!
