Truth exist, but it is relative to each individual. What is true for me is certainly not automatically factual for everyone. Point of view, inspired by location and situation can instantly cause a twist that changes perspective.
A crowd can witness the same occurrence, testify truthfully, each differently, without any telling a falsehood. It is only when a hidden agenda is present that lies get circulated, because it is always simpler and much more civilized to just be honest.
The inspiration behind bald-faced lies are countless. Agendas ranging anywhere from a true desire to inflict harm to an un-willingness to cause injury slant the truth. The most hateful lies are the ones that seek to manipulate a person or a situation for personal gain of any kind.
I speak the truth as I see it no matter the situation. If it will wound I do so gently; in my eyes nothing is solved by causing pain to anyone. I do not possess the time or energy needed to invent a believable fib then remember it well enough to say it more than once.
When you begin constructing a web of falsehoods it is all too easy to get trapped inside. I would rather use my time for some higher purpose than building a prison where I may be required to live. If I spend any time inventing something it will be a positive endeavor constructed upon the solid ground of unshakable truth. And as always... think about it... let it ride... then decide!!!

Hello, my good friend. It has been a very long time since we spoke, but that changes nothing between us. True friendship does not depend upon frequency of contact or distance apart to function properly.
ReplyDeleteYou were hard won, so you are extra precious. Besides you know much too much to ever be allow to return to any state besides dearest of friends.
No we don't get out alive, and length of life isn't all that important. It's only quality that is of any real import. And to take it all deadly seriously makes for very rigid people. Unbending, unfolding, and unloosening are vital to quality, so I do some of that daily, in whatever dose is needed for sanity.
Since I still seem to be a lunatic I must not have the dosage right, but with practice maybe I can master it soon. If not, I am very old and soon someone else will take over my medication.
